By engaging our services, you are entering into a binding agreement with Dunedin Movers, and these Terms will apply to all services provided by us, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
1.3 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services. If you are using our services on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1 Booking
To reserve a moving date with Dunedin Movers, a deposit or payment may be required depending on the type of service. Bookings are confirmed only when a deposit has been made, and confirmation is sent to the customer.
2.2 Payment
The customer agrees to pay the agreed-upon amount for the services rendered. Payment is due in full upon completion of the move unless other terms have been agreed upon in writing. We accept payments via credit card, debit card, checks, or other approved payment methods.
2.3 Estimates and Additional Charges
While we provide a written estimate based on the information provided at the time of booking, final charges may vary depending on the actual services rendered, including time, distance, and additional fees. Charges for additional services such as packing, storage, or extra labor will be communicated in advance.
3. Responsibilities of the Customer
3.1 Accurate Information
The customer agrees to provide accurate and complete information regarding the items to be moved, the locations involved, and any special instructions or requirements for the move. Failure to provide accurate details may result in delays, additional charges, or the need to reschedule.
3.2 Packing and Protection of Items
While we provide packing services, the customer is responsible for ensuring that all fragile, valuable, or personal items are packed and prepared for transport. Dunedin Movers is not liable for damage to improperly packed items or items not packed by our team.
3.3 Accessibility and Parking
The customer must ensure that both the pickup and delivery locations are accessible for the moving truck. If additional charges are incurred due to lack of accessibility, improper parking, or any other issues at either location, the customer will be responsible for such fees.
3.4 Items Not to Be Moved
Dunedin Movers reserves the right to refuse to transport any items deemed dangerous, hazardous, illegal, perishable, or prohibited by law, including flammable materials, explosives, and toxic substances.
4. Our Responsibilities
4.1 Delivery of Services
Dunedin Movers agrees to provide moving, packing, and storage services in a professional and timely manner. We will handle your items with care and take reasonable steps to ensure their protection during transport.
4.2 Timeliness
We will make every reasonable effort to adhere to the agreed-upon schedule. However, we are not liable for delays caused by unforeseen events such as weather, traffic, or acts of God.
4.3 Damage or Loss
We strive to protect your belongings during the move. In the event of damage or loss to your items, we are covered by limited liability insurance. However, additional insurance may be available at an extra cost, and we strongly recommend considering this option for valuable or fragile items.
5. Insurance and Liability
5.1 Limited Liability
Dunedin Movers provides limited liability for the damage to goods, as outlined in the estimate or contract. In the event of damage, compensation will be based on the value of the damaged or lost items.
5.2 Additional Insurance
Customers have the option to purchase additional insurance for added protection during the move. Dunedin Movers will provide information about available insurance coverage at the time of booking.
5.3 Claims Process
If damage or loss occurs during the move, customers must notify Dunedin Movers immediately. Claims must be filed within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 7 days of delivery. The company reserves the right to assess the damages before processing any claims.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
6.1 Cancellation Policy
Customers must notify Dunedin Movers of any cancellations at least 48 hours before the scheduled move to receive a full refund of any deposits made. If canceled less than 48 hours before the move, a cancellation fee may apply.
6.2 Rescheduling
If a customer needs to reschedule a move, we will do our best to accommodate the new dates, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests should be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid additional charges.
6.3 Force Majeure
Dunedin Movers is not liable for delays or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, labor strikes, accidents, or other force majeure events.
7. Termination
7.1 Termination by Customer
The customer may terminate the contract at any time, but cancellation fees may apply depending on the timing of the cancellation.
7.2 Termination by Dunedin Movers
Dunedin Movers reserves the right to terminate services or refuse service if the customer is in breach of these Terms, including providing false information, requesting illegal activities, or behaving unreasonably toward staff members.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
8.1 Privacy Policy

8.2 Data Retention

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Florida, and any legal action related to these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Dunedin, Florida.
10. Miscellaneous
10.1 Amendments
Dunedin Movers reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
10.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
10.3 Entire Agreement
These Terms represent the entire agreement between the customer and Dunedin Movers and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
